Woodart in an Improv Theatre

rapid fire theatre - edmonton, Alberta

General Contractor: Delnor Construction | Architect: Group 2 Architecture & Interior Design | Owner: Rapid Fire Theatre

Western Noise Control recently worked on the newly opened Rapid Fire Theatre located just off Whyte Ave. in Edmonton, Alberta. The project scope included the installation of our Echotrol™ Woodart Acoustic system in the foyer and in the improv theatre, dubbed the Rapid Fire Exchange. It is an exciting opportunity to work on a project that the public gets to experience and enjoy. We want to say a big thank you to Rapid Fire for hosting the first ever show in this space to the trades that worked to bring the theatre to life. It was an honour to be included.

Western Noise Control’s Woodart system is not panelized like typical acoustic wood systems. Every piece is ‘stick built’ offering the ultimate fit and finish for any project. You’ll notice the intricacies of the wood design near the red door picture, along with the curved wall in the theatre foyer. Most of our previous Woodart installations have a stained woodgrain finish, but to fit the fun nature of the Rapid Fire Group, this system was finished with a white stain and hand-painted graphics. Western Noise Control did not provide the painting on this installation, but we love how the final piece turned out.
